Organizational Consulting
Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability.” With over 30 years experience in multiple private and public organizations, I agree. Change can be difficult. Maintaining the status quo is easier - as individuals and as organizations.
Motivating and inspiring change is my passion and my wheelhouse. In addition to a Masters in Social Work, I have a Masters in Public Policy with a focus on nonprofit/public administration and bring over 15 years experience as a supervisor and administrator. And, because organizations are groups of individuals, I also incorporate motivational theory, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and insights from my work as a practicing psychotherapist.
Areas of Expertise:
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility & Belonging
Holding to Values in the Face of Financial Realities
Growing Leadership: How to Identify, Motivate, Inspire & Support New Leaders
I am available to train staff/leaders, facilitate challenging conversations, offer workshops on topics related to areas of expertise, and provide consulting to support organizational change projects.
Consulting
Lasting change requires willingness and investment. If the changes you are hoping to make were easy or simple, you would have already made them. With the support of someone who has a map and knows the terrain, your organization can move towards change with greater ease.
The map for change begins with you. We start with key personnel working to identify problem areas, organizational strengths, and values. Next, we clarify organizational readiness and lay groundwork for change. In this phase, we explore motivation and commitment to change. Because true change must go deeper than ideas, we surface the vision that will fuel change - unearthing the magnetic pull of what matters most. We identify clear objectives and goals, outline short- and long-term actions and set benchmarks to recognize success. We then develop and plan strategies to deal with potential obstacles.
The map is not the terrain. Every organization is unique. My goal is to support your process of moving towards change. To learn more, please contact me at annaugustinelicsw@gmail.com or ph: 413-225-1549..
